Preguntas Frecuentes
This tour is moderate to challenging. It includes about 2 hours by vehicle, then around 1 hour by ATV, followed by an uphill hike of approx. 1 hour to reach Vinicunca (5,036 m / 16,522 ft). The return includes about 45 minutes of downhill walking. Due to the high altitude and physical effort, we recommend 1–2 days of acclimatization in Cusco before the tour.
Comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing (light + warm), a waterproof jacket/poncho, hat, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, a small backpack, camera, snacks, and bottled water.
We use comfortable and safe tourist vans (up to 18 seats) for shared services. For private tours, vehicle options can vary depending on your preference.
We use reputable ATV brands such as Honda, Yamaha, or Polaris, typically 250cc to 500cc, with strong suspension and all-terrain tires for stability on mountain routes.
We offer single ATVs and double ATVs (two people). You can request your preference when booking.
Shared tours are usually up to 12 people, although sometimes the group may be smaller.
We work with licensed, professional guides experienced in tourism. Languages may include Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, and others depending on availability.
Not recommended for children under 12 due to altitude and the demanding nature of the hike. Older children may join if they are well acclimatized and in good condition.
You can visit year-round, but the best season is the dry season, typically March to November, with clearer skies and better visibility.
